I work at the crossroad of quantum information, quantum thermodynamics, quantum foundations and quantum computing. I am interested in anything quantum. My current focus is quantum algorithms for fault-tolerant quantum computing.

Present:
In January 2022 I joined the quantum applications team at PsiQuantum, where I currently work as a Staff Quantum Applications Architect based in Amsterdam.

Past:
I started off in Pavia in 2007. There, I completed my undergrad and master in theoretical physics at the University of Pavia in 2010 and 2012, respectively, and obtained a diploma from the Institute of Advanced Studies of Pavia (IUSS) in 2012. I had a place in Ghislieri College during that time.
I then moved to London. I was awarded a research master in quantum physics from Imperial College London in 2013, and a PhD in Physics in the Controlled Quantum Dynamics group at Imperial College London in 2016. My advisors were Terry Rudolph and David Jennings.
After that I moved to Barcelona. I was a postdoc and a Marie Curie fellow in Antonio Acin's Quantum Information Theory group at ICFO from 2016 to 2020.
Finally, I moved to the Netherlands. I was part of Barbara Terhal's group in the quantum computing division at TU Delft in 2020-2021, and I was briefly a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Amsterdam and CWI in the group of Michael Walter in 2021 before joining PsiQuantum's Applications team.
